Let's Stage a Play in a Week!

Ages | 13 - 23yrs

Location | St Paul's Catholic College, Burgess Hill

Course Length | 6 days Mon- Sat from 9.30am – 4.30pm. Sharing on Saturday

Dates | 4th August - 9th August 2025

Over this 6-day programme, participants will collaborate to stage a play. Participants will explore acting and physical storytelling—culminating in a performance they’ve helped shape.

Whether passionate about performing, fascinated by movement or curious about behind-the-scenes production as a creative, this is an unmissable opportunity to build skills, meet like-minded young creatives and bring a published play to the stage.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Summer Theatre Programme runs for 6 days during the summer holidays from 4th– 9th August '25

Monday – Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm

Saturday: 9am – 4.30pm. Matinee Performance sharing (Exact time TBC)

There will be a short sharing performance on the final day from the company. 

Times of sharing to be confirmed nearer the time. Family and friends are invited to the performance, free of charge.

 

FEES

Participant Fees | £250 (Early Bird £200 if paid in full before July 21st)
Deposit | £75 (Refundable in the event of cancellation from JK Theatre Arts)

An application form must be completed to attend the Summer Programme

On receipt of the application form, you will receive an acknowledgement email by return, advising you of payment details.

Full payment must be made in full prior to the course commencing.

 

FURTHER INFORMATION

AGES
Participants are only accepted between the ages of 13 – 23 years

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
No audition is required for this programme, as we wish to encourage participation in the arts for all

WELFARE
All staff are DBS-checked; participant safety is our priority​

 

There will also be opportunities for young creatives wishing to support the programme through other creative roles, such as:
🎬 Costume Design
🎛 Technical theatre (lighting, sound, stage management)
